I would like to share a story with you today which has a massive effect on me when I first heard it but please forgive me if you have heard it before and my version is slightly different.
The story centres around someone who has just died and arrives in heaven. He is greeted by Saint Paul and is shown around the place, They walk down a corridor with lots of doors but Saint Paul ignores one of the doors but opens the rest.
The person who has just died asks Saint Paul what is behind the remaining door but is told that it is nothing to interest him. Anyway, being a curious type. This person keeps on asking Saint Paul what is behind the door so reluctantly he opens it and they walk in the room together.
In the room is everything that the person who has just died ever wanted in his life. The wonderful house over looking the ocean, the cars, the woman of his dreams with children and grand children playing and laughing. There was even an image of himself as the kind of person that he always wanted to be.
This person then asks Saint Paul what is happening to which the Saint replies, everything in this room was waiting for you, all you had to do was ask and it would have been all yours.
The moral of this story is that you really can have whatever you want out of your life but before then you actually have to decide what it is that you want and more importantly, you have to believe that you can actually have it.
So, why not make a start on it now and go for it, after all, you don’t want Saint Paul showing you a similar room when your time comes, do you?
Thanks for Reading
