Life Is Too Short -- Not Just A Cliche

The older you get, the more you realize how short and precious life really is. Why do we need to age, to lose the opportunities in our youth, in order to realize the opportunities that are presented before us? At every age, there is something miraculous to behold, if we could just let go of the fear that drives our decisions, then we could experience things never dreamed of.

As we get older, we begin to realize that life is shorter than we ever thought possible. Where once a year to your next birthday seemed like a lifetime away, now you are finding that the months and years are flying by. You are realizing that time is uncontrollable.

You are no longer wishing that time could speed up, but wishing that for just once, life would slow down. Don’t let another experience pass you by without taking full advantage of it, experiencing it to its fullest, living in the moment. If there is one guarantee in life, just one, it is that you cannot go back in time. Once a moment is past, it is past forever.

Learning to let go of fear may be the best lesson that you can ever learn. Fear guides most of our decisions and limits us from life defining experiences and events. Fear makes us not take chances. You may feel like you are going to live forever. It may feel like if you don’t do it in the moment there will be another chance, but there may not ever be another chance.

You never know where life is going to take you, or what tomorrow will bring, so taking full advantage of life as it presents itself is truly the only way to live life to its fullest.

How many times has someone said to you “life is too short” or uttered the phrase yourself. When you really stop to think about those wise words, really consider what is being said, you will see that it is intended to make us stop and think. It is meant to make us rethink our actions not just use it as simple words.

Life is way too short and becomes shorter as we get older. It is important that you have no regrets or wishes of actions that you would have done differently. Learning to let go of fear and doing the things that you really want to do at a time when it presents itself, will free you for a life of true bliss.
