Most people are only to well aware that if they do not exercise they will lose any muscle power and probably become unfit. What people are not usually aware of is that the brain is a muscle and if it is not exercised it too will become not as effective as it could be.
As you would probably expect from me, the exercise that I am thinking about when I talk about the brain is to feed it empowering thoughts. When I first started out with this way of thinking I would sometimes stop reading motivational books for a few weeks or stop feeding my mind positive thoughts as I didn’t think it was all that important.
The effect that this had on me was unbelievable in that I would stop feeling so confident and my goals would start to feel that they were a long way off and pretty unobtainable. Then, as if by magic, when I started to think plosive thoughts again I would start to believe that absolutely anything was possible and I started to feel good about myself.
I have told you this many times before but I now always read a motivational book or listen to something that I feel empowers me, every morning for 10 minutes and every night for 10 minutes. I am feeding the muscle that is the mind and if I had to give one reason why my life is so good and I feel so positive, then this would be it.
I am not going to tell you what to read, only you know what lights your fire but I would say, just do it. Make sure it becomes as natural as brushing your teeth in the morning and at night and it would be safe to say that your life will change beyond all recognition.
